The best explanation by far is that they have become your friends, and ending the show is like saying goodbye to these friends you've grown to love for years. Its heartbreaking.

this show was like 'fucked up' incredible. I had never really been a big television watcher/series follower but something about this show totally absorbed me completely. I always have to keep telling myself that it's simply a fictional television show.
