The Australian Open starts tomorrow! In this video FYB offers our predictions for the men's side of the draw. We're anticipating a Roger Federer vs. Novak Djokovic semifinal on the top half of the draw and an Andy Roddick vs. Rafael Nadal semi in the bottom half.

We think Federer and Nadal are going to get through to the final, setting up another epic showdown. Last year's Australian Open final went to five sets. Despite Nadal's win over Federer, it was Fed who went on to have the better year while Nadal struggled with injuries.

This year we predict Federer takes out Nadal in 5 sets. Federer isn't plagued by the back problems he had early last year and Rafa's status is still somewhat up in the air. Is he fully recovered from his knee and ab injuries?

Regardless, it's going to be a great tournament!

  • Why don't all the players simply compete for an opportunity to play Federer in the final?

Just put Fed in the final as standard?

  • Well federer won over murray so YEAH

  • Yo, are u gunna be looking at roland garros too?

  • Given the first-round loss in Chennai and the reported elbow injury going into the AO, a bit surprised you were so confident in Soderling...

  • Murray was ill for that Verdasco defeat, not ideal, and had his wrist bandaged in the Cilic loss and soon after was forced to pull out of the Asian tournaments. He has a great record against both of them (8-1 and 4-1), I think it's fair to think his health played a role in those two losses. He's not a 3-set specialist.

If fit he was always going to make the final.

But good call on Fed beating Davydenko

  • Dude, can you smile a bit and work on your presentation? This sounds like a funeral speech

  • You know what? That really does make a lot of sense to me. The man has made it to every slam final since the last 100 years. He is the benchmark. It's a great idea that's ahead of its time.

  • Well in hindsight a good prediction. Exept Nadal. He hasn`t won against a top 5 player in nearly a year. Last year he was not up to game.

  • saelaird..LOL...that's funny...and actually it is totally true!!! LOL

  • You failed to factor in Cilic, Rafa's knees or how Novak has problems handling the heat in Australia. Murray dosen't have a great GS record but that may change this year will see. I don't have the same faith in Roddick as you have, personally I think that they are too many players that can compete with him.

  • shut up dude sorry but i find it so not intresting

it sounds like your trying to get so technal or sumthing wee all noe the federer will win and has won so yer dude thanks for the boring video but yer your very boring
