"Love It Away", an original composition, is the title track from Donna Loren's new CD. She recorded in Hawaii at Lava Tracks Studio with Grammy-Award winner Charles Michael Brotman. This Remix Dance track is illuminated by his wailing guitar and her amazing vocals. The subject of the song helps to remind one of harmony over chaos. Listen with your heart, open wide, and DANCE!

Donna Loren was the one-and-only "Dr Pepper Girl" from 1963 to 1968. She was signed to a long-term contract with the soft-drink company to sing all television and radio commercials, do all magazine and billboard advertising representing them in every capacity, sometimes sharing the spotlight with American Bandstand's Dick Clark. This relationship led to her touring in Dick Clark's Caravan of Stars with other popular acts like Diana Ross and The Supremes and singing solos in the popular Beach Party films starring Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon. Later, she became the regular female vocalist on the popular 60's American live rock n roll TV show "Shindig" and she appeared in singing and acting roles in many iconic TV shows like Batman, The Monkees, Gomer Pyle, The Mothers-In-Law, Red Skelton, Milton Berle and various game shows. In the 60's she released 18 singles and an LP. Her new CD entitled "Love It Away", released January 1st, 2010, is her first new music in decades. Hear it at http://www.DonnaLoren.net.

LYRICS:
Look at us down here, making all this fuss
We know better than that, only ignorance shall destroy us

Some are out of control; most of us are wanderers
Which way will we go? Which way will we go?

Love it away, love it away
Love it away, love it away

Listen to your heart when you are lonely, listen to the quiet voice inside you
Listen to your heart when you are lonely, telling you which way to go
Should I turn right, should I turn left?
Weve all the answers inside us
Should I turn right, should I turn left?
Youve all the answers inside

Love it away, love it away, love it away,
Love it away, love it away

Listen to the lump in your throat tell you something it wants to say
I know it hurts, it doesnt have to
Listen to your heart

Love it away, love it away,
Love it away, love it away,
Love it away, love it away,
Love it away, love it away
Listen to your heart

  • Wow...Donna's still got it!!! Her voice is AMAZING, its a shame that Donna like many SUPERIOR singers then AND now don't get the recognition or respect they so richly deserve.

  • Awesome! :D

  • OMG.. great song

  • Her voice havent't change a bit and she is still fine

  • Her voice is still sensational, but I agree. I think less is more, that is, she is still sexy enough with much less cleavage showing or none at all. I think with more left to the imagination, she is still quite appealing, along with her beautiful singing voice.

  • Love It Away (in the heart key of F) is the 2nd best track on Donna’s new CD. The Bob Dylan track (I’ll Be Your Baby) is the stand-out. On my first CD listen-thru, I repeated that track 3 times. Those of us who haved loved Donna since the 60’s have never heard her be that sexy before (it was worth the wait).

  • Oh yes. I recommend the album. I bought it from her website. It is great. Thank you swinging60sguy.

  • When I saw Julie Andrews, Johnny Mathis, Shirley Bassey in Concert - they just stood there. Their talent speaks/sings for itself. Donna has the beauty and talent to carry her song by just singing it. A striking beauty, and yet, her costumer in this video somehow takes away from the words. Stiletto heels, low cut dress - well, what a distraction, but not in a good way. I love the words/music and her voie though, beautiful.

  • Miss Loren has a great voice as always. A very pretty lady. BUT something is not quite right - perhaps the costume or the way it is choreographed. I do not like this phrase, but - "Act your age." GREAT TALENT, range like Shirley Bassey - but this type of video, well - almost creepy. Though Miss Loren is a superb singer and beautiful.

  • great video and great song!!! go donna!!!
