Hi Everyone
In this video I take the Hangar 9 mustang up for its 2nd flight and do speed runs, as the Garmin is installed. It's a big model and as you can see it's hard really to tell how fast she is because of the distance out from the camera. I can tell you that she is moving, 129 MPH out of her. I know, I had no idea she was this fast but with that Saito FG-20 installed it moves with some authority, wow! I 'm very happy and pleased with this model for a 60 size bird it truly is the best in its class.. Thanks for viewing and commenting on all of the videos here on TinkerManRC.

  • Its shocking how fast our planes are traveling. I once put a gps in a Carl Goldberg Cub and it topped out at 101mph with a os 70 four stroke. I think people underestimate the speed of our planes.

  • @bdarnell1966 Yes I would have to agree with you,, Thanks for commenting..Tim

  • Thanks for that, I've waited to maiden mine as there were alot of issues with this plane regarding the proper cg with complimentary videos of the aftermath , I have seen alot of videos of these flying along just fine and then out of the blue for no apparent reason the plane snaps into an unrecoverable death spiral

  • @patrioticvet I also had about half tank of fuel on board when I did the GC because of the nose over on landing all in all have alot of flight and have not had any issues, Yes I have heard about this too and not really sure .. Good luck man let me nknow how it goes ,,Tim

  • measured from the leading edge back at the wing root?

  • Mr T.M, did you have any issues breaking in or running your fg125? Horizon Hobby had quite a few neg comments regarding the engine. Just doing homework, it's a nice chunk of change. Thank you for your comments!!
