Probably the last of the yellowface movies meant to be taken seriously: All the important Chinese parts are played by white actors except the little half-Chinese girl. A generation earlier, she would have probably been played by Shirley Temple--who did play a Chinese girl in one of her movies. If you can get past this, it's a pretty darned good adventure film, and it pays at least token reference that the Chinese had legitimate reasons to hate the foreign devils.
