Excerpts of conversations between Jeffrey T. Guterman, Ph.D. and Albert Ellis, Ph.D. from 1986 and through the years in various relationships including Ellis as Guterman's therapist, supervisor, and then years later, colleague. Albert Ellis is the founder of rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT). The excerpts include personal psychotherapy sessions Guterman had with Ellis in 1986. Warning: There is some sprightly use of obsenity by Ellis during the excerpts from the sessions, which is a well known technique used by Ellis in REBT.
