This is genious you could rep to failiue and mess with heavy weights without a spotter.

@thinksketch 3 things:
1) So if you drop the bar, you're still screwed. Not only does it seem like the bench is lowered slowly, but you need to initiate the lowering manually
2) You should NOT have your motion restricted in a power rack. The bars should be placed at a height which prevents injury. Using a range of motion lower than your own chest with a barbell is impossible unless your form sucks and you are off balance.
3) $? I suspect Power Rack is even cheaper than this.

@Ascendancy12345 probably just the same as it did right there..... think of it like a barber stool. the barber stool doesnt SHOOT downward when the fat man comes in for a cut and shave does it? if anything just add a max load limit for the different hydraulic pumps (presses? idk the term for the thing that does the damping)

@gibmirbenzin54 dude he was just using that as an example, i would like to see a video of that actually in use though. i can't really see failing on 95 lbs with such control.

thanks for the response:
Our research showed that a power rack restricts motion in a less-than-desirable way. Our device offers an alternative that provides a natural bench press motion which which is not quite a vertical line.
