As much as I love JD, the exploitation of their work to the present day - including endless praise - does bring some sense of doubt whether they were as good as many insist saying. Yes, they were (and remain) definitely the most original and unique from the lot. But the success they enjoy to the present day is also largely due to the enormously talented team of people around them - Hannett being principle among them, giving JD their unique sound. Without him, I just wonder...
