I would say that it is possible to have sales go up and profits go down when expenses are too high. The company may be spending too much on marketing since it is not focused. Although the marketing is effective (sales go up), it is still inefficient (output is not much higher than input).
I am a business student in college. I appreciate all this free knowledge and advice. I would like you to further explain how sales can be up; but profits were down. Also, I would like to hear more about finding size and demographics of a customer base and more about the 4 P's of marketing. Thank you very much.
