If you punch someone they get hurt, when Simon or Kamina punches someone they explode and within that explosion is a smaller explosion with smaller explosions exploding within that explosion.

This is one of my favourite animes that have impressed me in recent years ... the only problem is I think it has a rather weak start ... and you'll probably have a hard time convincing other people to watch it past the first few episodes ... it may seem just like light hearted nonsense for the first few episodes... but after episode 8 that's when most people should become hooked and it's uphill from there
