@TOTisback Murkowski conceded the Republican primary a week after she lost the nomination, then immediately registered as an independent to run as a third party candidate. I don't know what your point is.
And when was the last time you heard anyone on the Republican side of the political isle state that the next Republican candidate needs to be like Lincoln, Roosevelt or Eisenhower? They're not ! They are stating we need another Reagan - who was not 'middle of the road'.
You say that, despite the fact that many of the great Republican Presidents (Lincoln, T. Roosevelt, Eisenhower, etc) were "middle of the road". And Miller conceded the election nearly two months after it had taken place. Murkowski conceded the Republican nomination just a week after the Republican primary took place.
Lisa Murkowski is exactly what is wrong with the Republican party. We do not need another 'middle of the road' candidate/Senator or another 'maverick' politician in the party. They tried that with McCain in the 2008 Presidential election. How did that work out? She lost the Republican primary in Alaska and turned out to be nothing more than a sore loser. She is a major reason why the Tea Party exists today.
@henleythecat - No, this is what happens to Republicans when they realize "party" doesn't mean anything, particularly when you've got someone like Palin against you.

It's refreshing to see a Republican not bowing down to the uber right wing leadership.
