  • please do cut the baigan before puting it in oven... my baidan exploded...:D...

  • vahchef forgot to mention that you MUST use a sharp knife to cut openings in the eggplant before you bake it. It will explode if you do not do this step!!!

  • @intezam The only way to get the smoked taste is to cook it on an open flame instead of the oven. The best way to do this is to cook the baingan on a BBQ grill or on hot coals directly. Alternatively, do what he does. Peel the baingan, keep it in a metal plate and put a small piece of hot coal next to it. Cover will a large lid open after 10 minutes and voila! :)
