Had a bit of time on my hands this evening and decided to test my Velbon DV-7000 tripod for the first time. Nothing fancy, just messing around in the kitchen testing the tilt and pan.

For some reason my hands were shaking (nervous I suppose from not having picked up this camera in over two months) so the clip isn't nearly as smooth as it could have been. But it's certainly not the tripod this time. Compared to my old one that I used in the previous clips, the Velbon DV-7000 is smooth as silk. Not a bad little fluid-head for the price. Now all I have to do is learn the tension controls and work on getting my technique down. Practice. Practice. Practice.

  • Thanks for posting this.... would you recomend that tripod?

  • You're quite welcome. Yes, I would definitely recommend the Velbon tripod. It's one of the best in its price category.

  • Hi urbanmasala.

Glad you picked up the camera again!

Great color in there and I love the way the light comes in and dances along the left side of the frame.

Just get those shaky hands together, cut this into pieces and add a few transitions, and you've got a winner!

    Scott

  • Hey Scott!
