Originally recorded by both Mel Tillis and Webb Pierce. The Oaks recorded this song in 1993 as part of "The Beverly Hillbillies" movie soundtrack (the song can be heard in the movie when Morgan first meets Ellie Mae outside the Clampett estate).

This live performance was from the summer of 1993 on "Nashville Now."

  • Steve Sanders was an unstable piece of crap.. couldn't handle sucess

  • WOW! This is a great surprise!

  • I believe it is Dallas Frazier.

  • You bet some songs are worth repeating, and some family members are more than worth seeing again. Rest in peace my brother-in-law Steve Sanders.

  • Some songs are worth repeating.

  • Your a jerk. I'd like to see the Oaks play any crap you ever wrote.

  • Yeah I knew Mel TIllis wrote I ain't never but I can't figure out who did elvira original haha.

Ya'll Come Back Saloon is second to Bobby Sue for me

  • Original "I Ain't Never " written and performed by Mel Tillis, but more popular version was by Webb Pierce in 1959 as a Country/popular charts hit. "Elvira" was early 60s as a rhythm and blues hit. I, personally, prefer the Oaks stuff like "Y'all Come Back Saloon." But that's just me!!

  • The original is some pop-y sounding song ... right? Can't remember by who

  • Yes and it was a remake.
