Aside from several silly mistakes (sorry for messing up Panama), I wanted to see what some NOS Phillips preamp tubes did to the sound. I think it sounds way richer, with less fizz! And since there are only a handful of Rockstah modded amps on youtube, I figured put it up, flaws and all!

Again, super low bedroom volume, due to the early hour - yet the tone sounds like a cranked Marshall. Also less gain, since I have the first gain stage volume at 6, and the second at 8. The iPhone camera doesn't do much for the audio, sucking out some high end, and, you have to crank the volume a bit on this one. But for the first time, jamming with the Scorpions on the stereo doesn't sound like my amp isn't bright enough to blend in!

  • That Mod 5 blows anyother mod Awayyyyy nice I want how long and how much for the mod

  • @MrSandydillon

Rockstah charges about $550 for the Mod 5, but you should contact him directly. Took my amp 2 months or so, but times vary depending on Mark's touring schedule, etc.

  • what's on top of the head on the amp?

  • @codyjt5150

Sorry it took this long, I have the Marshall Power Brake on the left, and a Lexicon FX unit on the right, into the FX in on my Tech 21 TM-10 combo - for the Dry/Wet setup since my Marshall has no FX loop.

  • I thought you hated Charvel's, will have to come over, that was great! loved it.
