@01276 3 years on and we're up to 186mph on HS1 (yay!) Just a shame the rest of the network is mostly sub-100mph. I'm fortunate enough to live near the ECML so most of the trains I travel on can go at full tilt.

Ive done Reading middle road. A mid-morning Cheltenham used to be 1st stop swindon I think about round about 2000.
-
That was only doing 90mph when it passed through Reading..

Ur Jokeing ...Thats Fast .. They Can Go Up To 125 mph So Likets Slow Conpared To Max Spead!!!
Nath :D

It was a Joke, as the poster said very fast. Its about 45-50mph. This train blows when it can, 125mph. On the bit near Heathrow going westbound when 27R and 27L is in use, you are almost beating the planes as they reduce to minimums at 4DME.

The whole of platform 4 was singing because a TnT Val was going through! Haha.
-
Looks like it, given there are no lights on.
-
haha yah or large stations anyways i think .. in UK 130mph is the fastest trains are allowed to travel although can't think of any that ever go that fast !!
-
45mph fastest in UK? I hope to God you mean going through the station, they'll reach in excess of 125mph on the mainline (most notably ECML).
-
thats very fast probaly 45 mph fastest indeed in uk
sikeee
do you know where the train was coming from and going to, and do you know why it was passing Reading as ive always seen them stop.
