Director: Alfred Hitchcock
Year: 1928
Starring: Carl Brisson, Lillian Hall-Davis, Ian Hunter, Gordon Harker

After a "Sunday afternoon" match two boxers, "One Round" Jack Sander and Bob Corby, become rivals in the ring and in their sentimental life. As Jack tries to make his way into the world of professional boxing he find himself more the once to choose in between his career and the love of his life. He thinks he will settle everything once for all challenging Bob to a "one man stand" match that will show both their techniques and their hearth since what they're fighting for is more than just the title of the Heavy Weight Championship of Great Britain.

This is a beautifully crafted work with a metaphoric plot in which "the ring" symbolise the protagonist's dualism of life. The film also shows a number of visual effect that will become part of Hitchcock's "signature" style and making him one of the most unique directors of all the times.
