Did Tony say "I DID IT" or "I GET IT?"

You be the judge.

  • When I first saw this, I though he said " I did it!" like he acknowledged he killed Christopher... which is why he sorta sobs.

  • I don't get it...

  • @pizzaisyummy86 its i get it on the dvd subtitles so erm...

  • "I get it " is his realisation of his impending death . The motif of a shining light pervades a lot of season 6 , notably the sequences in his near-death experience , (beacon in the cityscape) .In that scene, he finds out that the 'inn at the oaks' (a manifsetation of the afterlife) is close to that beacon - therefore symbol of death. By Season 6B as Tony begins to morally crumble , the shining light shines upon him one final time - his time is up , he shudve learnt from his coma experience.

  • @TokyoKnights3 he doesn't have any remorse about Chris' death. Chris was a piano hanging over his head waiting to either kill Tony (he feared) or put him in jail for rest of his life (if Chris turns rat).

  • @Manolobartolo Your response is right on! The fact that he is on peyote, or killed Christopher are irrelevant. He gets the meaning of life. He is overwhelmed with beauty (the girl, the desert, the sunset) peace, and emotion. He cannot even put it into words later. Or he doesn't want to appear soft to his crew.

  • he GETS "IT" ..... dumbass

  • I GET IT!

  • There is nothing up for discussion here. It is clear he says 'I get it', audibly so, plus in the context it makes far more sense. It is 'I get it' in the subtitles and in the script. End of story, end of discussion.
