http://www.premierguitar.com PG's Gayla Drake Paul guides us through her latest acoustic review - the Taylor Baritone 8-String (found within the pages of Premier Guitar's January 2010 issue).

As Gayla mentions, the Baritone 8-String was created in celebration of Taylor's 35th Anniversary as a company. The "chocolate-peanut butter" sensation features a Sitka spruce top with Indian rosewood back and sides. The neck is made of a tropical American mahogany with an ebony fingerboard featuring pearl diamond inlays.

It comes loaded with the Taylor Expression System pickup and onboard bass control and it is equipped with specially made Elixir Baritone strings.

  • @BLACKMAGICMETALMAN12

    Not even close you retard.

  • @cathode1 It's a review, not a jam. A review is about REVIEWING it and talking about it so we know what the hell it is. If she didn't talk about it, the it wouldn't be a REVIEW. Get over yourself.

  • thank you for boring us to death and not letting us hear what the guitar sounds like.

  • Once I listen ot this, I dont want to buy one....

  • wish i had money id have them all not in this life time maybe theyll give you a break on it gayle you were haveing fun with it the singing drop for the road singer is a very good feature dont seem right but sounds right thanks gayle

  • i think bob should give you the guitar....you obviously deserve it....you make it sound the what its supposed too....play on giri!!!!

  • @BLACKMAGICMETALMAN12 I was actually thinking of get a cheap 40 box acoustic, drill the headstock, add two machines, drill the bridge and nut to make a cheap 8 string guitar, low tunned to F so I could be available to play Meshuggah's stuff in school, without having to alternate electric/acoustic and downtune when I play with the class. But I'm short of money now, may in a few months I can make it ;D

  • @taviswardlaw run all 8 stringgs down to me...top to bottom

  • @salm37 actually A and D as it's strung BEADGB but yes if you're thinking about a normal EADGBE acoustic it would be D and G.

  • @Beemerboy324 funny! exept for in this case, the truck has 4 wheel drive ( two extra stings)
