Sublime - Doin' Time in Garden Grove (REMIX)

Remix of Sublime's "Doin' Time", using samples from the acapella and instrumental remixes, as well as Garden Grove and Santeria also by Sublime, "Speech" by KRS One, and "Gangsta Gangsta" by NWA. This was made in FL Studio 8/9 in the course of 2 days, and it took a bunch of alternates before I and others picked this version as their favorite.

Stuff to know:
-The trippy panning loop you hear is the main "Summertime" sample being reversed and fading from left to right.

-That sweep you hear a few times is the loop mentioned above arpeggiating

-The Garden Grove sample had to be lowered in pitch but kept in the same tempo to fit with the Doin Time drum loop, it actually fit together pretty good

Thanks :) There's an album floating around out there called "Doin' Time Compilation" which is where I found the instrumental. I googled the acapella versions of DT and Santeria for all the vocal clips. It kinda bored me at first, so I tried to mix in the Garden Grove sample and after a bunch of tweaking it came out sounding ok. It was all put together in FL Studio 9. I'm glad you liked it, by all means try to spread it around if you want!
