AMMO problems, this is the philippines where even the cops use reloaded ammo, and shitty reloads to boot. if your glock explodes its because you did something wrong, reloads, or wrong caliber ammo, look up glock 19 torture test vid on you tube , it will clear every thing up.

@ReclusiarchGrimaldus There is a guy that hasn't cleaned his Glock in 10 years and hasn't had any problems and he still shoots it as his comp gun and fun gun. The guy has a youtube account and is infact in the suggestions. His account is schapman43. Nothing wrong with rapid firing if the bullets hit where they need to.

4. I agree. I posted one year ago, and have been able to try out glocks more since. However, my original post wasn't necessarily attempting to suggest that Glocks are less reliable than 1911s (which, heaven knows they are not. at all.) I was merely suggesting a gun which I knew to be reliable to someone who was complaining about the reliability of another.

Don't be too angry now. It's just the internet, after all.

@dan16802 Actually the 10mm and the .45 ACP were both designed using different frame sizes and parts for the larger rounds and they are fine. Its when they took the 9mm and stuck .40 S&W in it.

@ReclusiarchGrimaldus Oh yeah, 1911s are not good guns to recommend to beginners, they are a gun best for those that are willing to learn the ins and outs of a 1911, my brother is a good example when he got his 1911.

3. Glocks don't need to be maintained that much at all

4. 1911's are more prone to parts breaking than a Glock, even the expensive ones. Don't believe me? Than you haven't shot your 1911 enough.

@JackSureshot You are correct, Glock recommends against shooting -any- reloads. Factory new jacketed ammo only. Stay safe and Glock on.
