Peavey, Audio Technica. The product does not create feedback or any noticible changes in your voice sound during recordings or live rehearsal unless I suppose you have hearing like a church mouse. If you think you have a problem with the device as a live monitor with a microphone thats fine, that is only one of the features. Use it without a microphone which is the main reason I developed the product. Pick it up like a phone and hear your voice crystal clear whenever you are working on voice

Why's does this mic have such a muddy sound? Oh yeah, I have a huge plastic thingy clamped on it that reflects sound waves all over the place destroying the hf coherence.. Nice.

@DjCuddly Wrong, this is a misconception and a common thought. The VAM was tested and evaluated by major microphone manufactures so that it did not interfere, instead increases gain potential by deflecting ambiant noise in the room. The VAM is a vocal acoustic tool, takes your voice directly to your ear. The VAM is mostly used as a vocal tool without a microphone, just to sing to yourself and work on your voice.
