Please continue to watch this anime faithfully! I highly recommend this anime! Although it might seem a bit boring at the start, it gets REALLY good as you keep on watching :)

Hunter × Hunter is a manga series (on-going), written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi.

The story focuses on a young boy named Gon Freecss, who one day discovers that the father he had always been told was dead is in fact alive and well. He learns that his father, Ging, is a legendary "Hunter", an individual who has proven themself an elite member of humanity. Despite the fact that Ging left his son with his relatives in order to pursue his own dreams, Gon becomes determined to follow in his father's footsteps, pass the rigorous "Hunter Examination", and to eventually find his father.

This first Hunter × Hunter anime adaptation was produced by Nippon Animation and directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, with a total of 92 episodes (doesn't cover the whole manga). Hopefully, they might continue with it.

Otherwise, there is always the newer anime adaptation, directed by Hiroshi Kōjina and produced by Madhouse. Though, it is targeted for younger audiences, and as a result is less violent than the first anime series.

@cnaizhen This IS the originial series :P And I'm glad you read the video description. Yes, the start is rather boring, but is used to kinda' explain some background information. But afterwards, it's really good, full of action, suspense, etc. ^^
