This is my My Journey Contest Entry for Lonely Planet -
Home Town Category
http://youtube.com/lonelyplanet

Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Featuring Hyannis and Provincetown, MA

Gah! What happened to my audio! :P

Part of the grand prize includes professional video equipment and training. I know I have the creativity to do so much more with the videos I produce. I'm self taught in my spare time (spare what?) and have an utter passion for video creating, writing, directing and editing.

I'm ecstatic that Lonely Planet (which my husband and I watch all the time!) has posted this contest and given us amateurs this opportunity. And while undoubtedly up against some stiff competition, (okay, I just watched some of the competition, and they're good, really good - but I guarantee no one wants this as badly as I do) I know that with a little training and the proper equipment, I wouldn't feel as stifled as I am now by what I'm currently working with. I don't even own a proper tripod, and with windy coastal days, shooting can be extremely difficult.

I liken it to an artist who only has a small palate of water colors, she would certainly be able to create, but at some point, she would be limited by her utensils.

I own the rights to all footage including aerial photos and video footage.

  • the sss in ur talk is screaming and screeching

  • Yeah, as I said in the description, there were definitely some audio issues. By the time it compressed, it was worse. :(

  • You should do some voice-over work aunt Carrie-Lee. You sound very professional. I personally would never live on the East Coast. I love the West Coast too much. Las Vegas is about as far East as I would probably ever go unless I have to go further East on business or something like that.

  • I think for the most part, people are fairly loyal about their coasts. I have thought about doing professional voice-overs... need proper audio equipment though, and I have none.

  • Thanks for posting! Great video! Good luck with the contest!

  • Glad you liked it. Not what I was hoping, but, I'm glad I got it accomplished.
