  • The black an white pic of the bingo hall is a new one XD just photoshopped, it used to be a cinema before the 80's i think.....

  • just checking out the town supposedly that is where my surname might have originated, bateup is the name .i am from australia interested if anyone knows anything about the topic.looks like a hard place to live back in those times but black and white pictures do that.

  • I went to Thorn school early 1950s. My mum had a dress shop at 15,Union Street. I won freestyle swimming championships for 3 years.1957

  • Smashing images, and a beautifully edited and presented slideshow.

I went to Thorn Junior School in Bacup (1950s).

    Fond memories!

  • fantastic..... great video.....

so proud to live here. its just a shame that we have all these beautiful buildings and we take them for granted as we walk past them everyday.

  • The video rocked btw! ;)

  • I always felt the ghosts as I walked through Bacup.

Its strange to see them in pictures.

  • This was a smashing presentation, really enjoyed it. Great choice of music. Nice to see local talent in action.
