Acute Gastritis. The causes, natural history, and therapeutic implications of gastropathy differ from gastritis:
Gastropathy is usually caused by irritants such as drugs (eg, nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agents and alcohol), bile reflux, hypovolemia, and chronic congestion.
Gastritis is usually due to infectious agents (such as Helicobacter pylori) and autoimmune and hypersensitivity reactions. Acute gastritis may produce no symptoms but can be associated with short-lived dyspepsia, lack of appetite, nausea or vomiting. It can occasionally be severe enough to cause gastrointestinal bleeding with melena or hematemesis (see above). The most common cause is ingestion of aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-imflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It can also occur during the early stages of infection with the bacteria,
Helicobacter pylori "HP." Most cases resolve by themselves, but endoscopy and biopsy may be required to exclude other conditions such as peptic ulcer disease or cancer. At endoscopy the inner lining of the stomach (mucosa) may appear swollen, reddened and inflamed. There may be small, shallow erosions (breaks in the surface lining) or even tiny areas of bleeding from the mucosa.

@TheCrazy243 HI I JUST FOUND THIS SITE..I GOT VERY ILL AFTER EATING SOMETHING, THEY DID NOT DO THE RIGHT TESTS, I AM 60 NOW HAD GOT SICK OVER TWO YEARS AGO..ALOT OF SOFA TIME..VERY ILL.HAD A COLONOSOPY AND THEY FOUND EROSIVE GASTITIS, BUT DID NOT KNOW WHY I FOUND OUT LATER FROM A BLOOD TEST FOR H PYLORI..THEY GAVE ME A TRIPLE ROUND OF ANTIBOICTICS. AND HIGH DOSES OF VIT D. BY THE WAY THIS CAN CAUSE STOMACH CANCER. I HAVE A HARD TIME EATING STILL...I HAVE A FACEBOOK PAGE LINDA PFISTER WILDHABER..

I have h.pylori from my dad. My dad don't take care of himself and he don't take his med. My stomach hurt bad not everyday it next day and got better and other day again. I have a chili ,tired ,feeling throwing up ,problem poo ,bad breath , and pain after I'm eat but I don't eat a lot I'm eating normal expect chocolate ,soda ,and spicy food that can hurt my stomach so badly it make me really cold. I'm 15 year old. I'm taking right pill.

@Alxe73191 im 12yrs old i have gastritis i got a pain about a month ago and i did not eat for 3 days and i also did not sleep i went to childrens hospital my moms a doctor but she does not work at childrens so my mom told them what was wrong now i have some pain at night but they perscribed a real good medicine i cleaned my stomach walls from acid its expensive though about a 130dollars

I've had problems from excessive Coca Cola & coffee drinking, also ice-cream is a killer. The best things to eat are cooked vegetables and bland grains. Also, get plenty of vitamin D.
