So then I guess you do think it's Ok for drug co's to push pills that'll kill you & then you have no recourse. We're the only modern nation that allows this and 1 of 2 that allow drug advertising. We're the only modern nation that allows private insurers to rip us off. We pay more for less health care. In most countries it's illegal to make profit off health care. I have the right not to get ripped off when I pay premiums by being denied health care. Your argument is the one that's lame.

Oh, really? You must be one of those people whose employer foots the bill for your insurance, and you're never gonna get sick. In the real world out here people are losing everything because they got sick. Insurance CEOs testified that they'll continue cancelling the policies of sick people to boost their profits. Guess you think profits should be more important than life or health. You never really know till it happens to you.

Yes really. A genuine reform would not include such bureaucratic control over people's bodies.

A legitimate reform would take the shape of Tort. Greedy trial lawyers, like John Edwards, and multi million dollar awards hurt everyone.

Also, there are over 2,000 government mandates which have skyrocketed costs. They should be eliminated. However, gov't has another "solution"....exploit a manufactured "crisis" with their agenda.

Do you think it's OK for a drug manufacturer to push a drug that they know will kill people or for a doctor leave a sponge in you when he operates? You're buying into the drug companies and insurance companies propaganda who don't want to pay out for their criminal disregard of life. All this tort reform is crap. Lawsuits are only 1% of the cost .They have no problem with hiring a team of lawyers to defend themselves against what they do to the patients.

Lame argument. No system is perfect, but such government intrusion into our private lives and overtaking private sector business is not justified. That is, if we care about Constitutional rights and the intent to limit the size and scope of government.
