this was great! thank you for posting. i, too, have this plant and one year had 6 buds and a relatively small plant. also didn't know it was a night bloomer and missed its one-night show. it was something i picked up at yard sale for 50 cents. who knew it was such a treasure!

Hehehe. It is funny that we both chose music that Rhys Fulber made for our soundtracks for our blooms.

Mine were not blooming and I read about adding bone meal and this summer I had several blooms. Also, they needed a bit more water. So Cal weather can become to dry, but with a good soaking every few days when the weather is too dry the were very happy.

You did a wonderful job! My husband and I got to experience this AMAZING blooming Cereus for the first time in our lives. We are thinking of having a small "Night Blooming Cereus" party next time.

Thanks! Sadly, I see no sign of a bud this year, so I may have to wait another few years for another blossom.

Interesting, Our flowers blomed on the SAME night...and both after 6 years of not....
