@SiggyStern I should rephrase my statement I don't respect the Russian leadership the men who ordered their troops make hopeless and poorly planned charges into battle only to get mowed down by German machine guns. But of course I do have full respect for the Russian soldiers Who followed the orders given to them and died defending their country

The Russians lost 10 million soldiers and Germans lost 5 Million soldiers. What a waste of life if you ask me.

You do not respect the Russians because they threw waves of people against the Germans?.hmmmm it was our side (Germany (incl. my own country Austria) that attacked them, and numbers was all they had to counter that,for when it comes to equipment they were by far on the disadvantage, the Germans for sure had very good tactis,but I will always have respect for people who defended their homes at all costs.....considering how many of them died,they also paid it.... Peace!

The Russians have and have only had one tactic in war: Their numbers. They send wave after wave till the defence breaches. The Wehrmacht used tactics 50 years ahead of the time. Open a history book and see how big the difference between the casualties was on the eastern front.
