This video is posted here due to a probable dispute notification being lodged with eBay with reference to a Lullabub Cot Rocker that I sold on 12 August 2009.

In their first eBay transaction, the buyer paid the 'Buy Me Now' price for this item a few days before the auction was due to end, and the Cot Rocker was posted to their address in Northern NSW the following day.

A few days later I received an email stating that the unit wasn't working, and would I please call to discuss it. I did this, I apologised and I offered to post an additional remote control unit that I had - in case that was the cause of the problem.

Subsequently I was told that the unit still wasn't working. My suggestion was that they return it to me and - after confirmation that it wasn't working - I would refund the purchase price plus the additional postage costs incurred in returning it to me.

It was delivered to me last Wednesday, and so on Thursday morning I checked the unit - recorded in this video - confirmed that it was, in fact working, and I posted it back to them around midday that day.

On Thursday evening I received another (belated) email from the purchaser stating that they had returned the unit to me in the mail on Monday (that is, three full days prior to emailing me) and that "you should recieve it soon." The unit was, by this stage, on its way back to them, with an extra $13 cash included in the box to cover their original return postage to me.

As this video proves, the unit does, in fact, work. I'm not sure what problems they encountered with it, but it is of 'merchantable quality' and - in my view - the sale stands.

Thanks.

  • As I said previously, "To anyone else that watches this video, I can highly recommend this product - I reckon Chris' invention is an absolute pearler, and worked perfectly for us when it was needed."

If any consumers want to hear further of our praise for and our satisfaction with the Lullabub, then please contact me and I'll be happy to assist.

    Andrew.

  • Hi there -

the video was mine, not Chris's, and I only uploaded it to verify its proper operation for a complaining eBay purchaser whom wanted to return it to me. I think that their complaint was more of the variety that they'd paid greater than retail for a used item - and I'm sure that they're not the only eBay newbies that have done this.

  • Chris, sorry if having the rail down during this demo has caused you any grief, hadn't thought about that myself.

To anyone else that watches this video, I can highly recommend this product - I reckon Chris' invention is an absolute pearler, and worked perfectly for us when it was needed.

    Thanks,

    Andrew.

  • He's product is so great....you're selling it!

  • I also just purchased the lullabub. I'm SO disappointed with it.

It doesn't rock. Why is it called a 'rocker'? In your video Chris, the water does vibrate a little. But there's no baby in that crib? My baby is 8 months, and is over 10 kg. With him in the crib, and with that glass of water combined-I can assure you, the water won't move. This crib guarantees to rock babies from 0-24 months?

I have just contacted Lullabub to hopefully arrange a refund...i will keep you posted consumers.

  • Hi, Its Chris here, The Lullabub Inventor, Just letting you know that to operate the Lullabub Properly, the side rail should be lifted to the highest position, for a couple of reasons, 1) For baby Safety but 2) So the rail is not touching the Lullabub Pods. The Noise you can here is the timber rail hitting the top of the Lullabub pods.

Hope this helps anyone else out there who may be looking at this video and wandering why the cot is not rocking much, THANKYOU for your time.

    Cheers, Chris
