BBC iPlayer on Symbian S60 Devices.

Everyone probably knows that the new Nokia N96 comes with the BBC mobile iPlayer built in. But did you know (You probably do by now!) that the iPlayer will work on 'most' s60 handsets?

i have the same problem with the zip file download, it doesnt give an install option, just opens, the pictures and html code to create the shell for the widget. i think it has something to do with the need to upgrade the n95 firmware no a newer version, any sugestions, willl that wipe the phone??

yes updating the firmware will wipe the phone, backup to a memory card first!

Saw this & thought great I can have iplayer too on my N95. Dang Nabbit it dont work anymore. If you go to the address on your phone it says this page is no longer available. Has anyone else got the downloaded application please they can send me or know where to download it now????

best thing i can recommend is keep an eye on the forum thread at 'all about symbian' it wont be long before someone finds a way around it ;-)

Are you downloading the link from ur pc or from ur N95 browser? you need to do it from the phone browser It should work, but as i mentioned on my blog the BBC are forever changing the software as it is still pretty new, let me know how u get on, Thks

argh it doesnt work for me (got n95), i downloads this kinda zip file then, it says open or copy, i click open and its all txt, soo erm help??
