This is not a folk style move. This is a free style move. If you can do this 3 times real fast, you will end the period no matter how much time is left in the period. Nice way to tech people out
In order for this to be scored in folkstyle you'd have to press them down across their shoulders for a full second. Seconds are faster or shorter depending on the official. But nothing in this video would be scored. This would all be considered part of the scramble in folkstyle.
I was a folkstyle wrestler. It was very simple 2 points takedown. 1 point escape. varying points from 1-3 for putting them on their back. After three brief seconds on the back though its all over--its a pin. There were also points awarded (1 at a time) for stalling or continued pentalties say purposely not tying your shoes so that you could loaf. Things like that. combination moves just added from those.
You score two points in Freestyle Wrestling i believe ( if you repeat the process then points continue to add up ), do you know you get points in Folk Wrestling ?
I never freestyle wrestled. But it accomplishes a lot of points. Its like scoreing on your apponent by man handling them versus taking them down and pinning them (schoolboy).
is this legal in folkstlye?
