I wonder how John and other New Order Mormons are feeling about Elder Holland's talk. Talks in conference make me think that the Bros. are no longer going to tolerate the expression of alternate views on history and doctrine. But I guess then they never have... and John is still probably fine in the Church as part of his NOM plan is to keep one's mouth shut.
Doesn't work for me.

I'm grateful to John Dehlin for his Mormon Stories Podcasts. They helped me alot. They helped me realise the LDS church is not what it claims to be. ie A Fraud.
I have much respect for John but do not agree with his stayLDS approach.
I can understand his dilemma though and wish him all the best when and if the church excommunicates him or DARE to that is.John will get far more respect by dissaffected members than the LDS leaders.
I think his new church will grow bigger than the LDS one.

@Turandot29 I suspect that Dehlin is too honest & too decent to stay being a MORmON. It will just take him some time to figure that out. & everytime the LDS INC BreathURINE start blustering about the *Truthfullness" of MORmONISM that real MORmONS need to keep them in MORmONISM, it will just speed up the process.

Hey Flat Lander, have you had a chance to listen to the recent Mormon Stories/Mormon Expressions crossover podcast? It sounds like John Dehlin has moved away from his "StayLDS" position. It's interesting.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure his desire to stay LDS has to do with being a cultural mormon, not necessarily a TBM

John Dehlin's mindset regarding the LDS church is scary. Why would any honest, thinking individual want to stay with that organization once that person has determined that it is false?
John Dehlin should seriously consider psychoanalysis or some other deep psychological inventory before *HE* takes on the role of psychologist to unsuspecting lambs.
John D. Is a GOOD, SWEET, KIND HEARTED SOUL... I had the privilege of making his acquaintance (actually my husband and I met him) Yes, I'm active LDS, and a Jewish convert. My IQ is 145,I am fully aware of every bit of Church History. I have had my own personal experiences/witnesses. I wish I could give them to each of you who doubt. The bott. line I am happy, peaceful and successful in the Gospel. I feel it gives me what I need~ I'm sorry, but I have yet to meet anti's who are peaceful/happy

Thank you for sharing your IQ with me. I'm glad smart people and Mormons like John, too, and not just idiots and Morons. I consider John a friend. I'm also glad you are happy in your church. I'm happy in mine as well. Different strokes for different folks.
Feel free to share your personal experiences/witnesses. I find YouTube a good outlet for such activities.
I'm active LDS also, although not in COJCOLDS. My church is just as absurd but doesn't oppress anyone.

John is not a disrespectful person whether we agree with him or not. He has done much to help the members of the church understand those of us who were unable to believe or stay.
I appreciate him but don't agree with staying in. There are many things that need changing in the church and if John's way is to work from within then we need to respect his choice. Whining about how we are treated and then hurting someone who wants to change that is like shooting ourselves in the foot.

I hope you don't see me as "whining" or "hurting someone" because I really don't feel I was doing either. John teaches that religious faith requires a "leap into the absurd." I'm just making my own leap. My church is certainly no more absurd than John's church. The Moron Church exists to help people. We have no record of oppressing anyone and I'm sure the Moron Church leaders are every bit as moral, ethical, loving, and caring as COJCOLDS leaders.
