I think its good to leave this scene out as there was too much info in it. The waitress talked too much. The boss explained about the letter. and the stewardess spoke.
by leaving it out, the original plot was still understandable through viewers' own interpretations. in this case, Too Much Info. Im glad this was cut.

I may be in the minority but I love the movie without this clip. I mean, this clip is great and stuff but I think that Tony questioning whether he loves Faye is just a tad too early for the movie - you're not supposed to question love, it just happens. I also don't like how his ex came back.
