I can remember watching this commercial as a kid in the 80's. Didn't Billy Newton Davis release a song with the lyrics "I need your love till my dying day"? I haven't heard it in years and I have been trying to find it. Maybe I got the words wrong, but i'm sure that is what he sang. I hope someone knows and can tell me the name of it.

@shoshandrich No. I keep seaching for "participaction" on Youtube at least one every two weeks and it's never there. I'm willing to pay $50 to get the complete PSA. Someone uploaded a block of programs starting with the very end of that PSA, but I want to see the whole thing! (look for "Friendly Giant open 1984" uploaded by robatsea2009).

He is an American who studied in Canada and decided to stay and become a singer in Canada. He had a few hits in the 80s and he also had music videos that still play on Much More Retro.

This spot must have aired no less than 13 times an hour on Canadian TV back in the mid-80s, and I still don't know who in the hell Billy Newton Davis is.
