What it do everyone.. Luis Angel here with AE Mind.. I just started my memory training for the US Memory Championship competition.. This is one of the events in the Memory competition.. It is Speed Cards.. THe goal of this event is to memorize a full deck of cards in under 5 minutes.. The US record is held by Nelson Dellis and that is 63 seconds.. The world record is 21.90 seconds, held by Simon Reinhard.. ( http://youtu.be/sbinQ6GdOVk)
I plan to beat the world record when I compete in 7 months.. I know that I have a lot of work to do before I get any where near the 21.9 second mark, but knowing that it is possible is what will keep me at it everyday..
Check out Nelson Dellis doing the entire deck up on Mt. Everest.. Crazy stuff: http://vimeo.com/26783738
Also.. before I go.. Make sure that you check out http://AEMind.com for the latest in info on memory improvement and some other motivational stuff..
Thanks for checking this out.. and please Subscribe.. Thanks..

How typical of the Americans to have the US Championship! Why don't you compete in the WORLD Championships where the record for a deck of cards is 21 seconds by Ben Pridmore? At least this guy recognizes this! Most Yanks don't. The WORLD ones are all that matter in this "sport". Keep practising

@definingpossible Yep, heard of that technique. Thanks for the information, it's worth a try. Although I'll have to reform my system, as I'm using a continuous link technique at the moment lol. I'll let you know if it goes good.

@kikikikia Hey man. I have had some experience with card memorization. The way Ron White does it is he has a person, verb, and noun on every single card. So the first three cards that come out, you take the person of the first card, verb of the second, then noun of the third, then file it. To do multiple decks, you just need more files in your mind. That's all. So instead of doing 3 images per card, try person, verb, noun and let me know how it goes for you.

Hello. I would like to ask a question. If I wanted to memorize multiple decks of cards, how would I do so? WOuld I need to have more than one image associated to each card? For example, ace of spades = rabbit/racoon/panda? OR would I need only one image per card but different "locations" (memory palaces?) for each deck? Anyway, replies are greatly appreciated. I'm always ready to learn, thank you. And thank you for the great video!
