@claudcw Want to give the shark a little room to run...Too much tension on the line and SNAP. we have had it happen, and it's not fun. I'm reeling the whole time I'm walking so she was coming in while I was walking.

how far out was ur bait, and how in the hell did u cast it out?

@Stevo102009 We use Rod holders on the beach...We set the rod in the rod holders, flip the reel to free spool (with the clicker on to avoid birdnesting) and we hook the bait onto the kayak and paddle out about 100-200 yards, drop the bait. While we paddle back to shore, someone else is on the beach, reeling in a little to anchor the weight on the leader and setting the drag. Then we wait for a run. Thanks for watching!
