@KilroyTheGrand It does, because its the way it is. kick and scream about it all you want, but you cant change that fact. Rather than protesting the facts of life, you should try to accept it for what it is, because you cant change your blood and heritage any more than you can move the stars in the sky. By your thought process, if i moved to china i would be a Chinese person, when in reality, i would be of Chinese NATIONALITY. I would still just be an Englishman in China. Deal with it.

@KilroyTheGrand That is where your wrong. Its not pride in the labour or the land, its pride in the blood that courses through us. We, as in all Newfoundlanders, come from a very diverse background and culture, and its pride we find in how we were made, and our ancestors who made us. saying its the work that makes us is like saying every person who works in the fishing industry is a Newfoundlander, and we are all aware that is not the case. Its the blood that makes you.

I like how people feel proud for living in the area of newfoundland, yet little to none have anything to do working on the sea. It;s not where you live, it's what you do.
