Bunny Bins Challenge Litterbugs

English fashion designer Paul Smith unveils his latest collection at London's Covent Garden.

His new range of "Bunny Bins" is pastures new for the master of haute couture, who says litterbugs make him hopping mad.

[Sir Paul Smith, Fashion Designer]:
"I personally have a bit of a passion about litter and I hate the idea of people being so lazy and just throwing litter anywhere - I thought if we could design a litter bin that is a bit funny and a bit quirky - I mean its not really about a rabbit litter bin its about using the rabbit because it is quirky and funny and when you put the rubbish in his ears light up - its just to draw attention to the fact that can you please keep our city a bit tidy".

Everyday, the equivalent of 100,000 garbage bags are dumped on the British capital's streets.

One passerby hoped the novelty bins would encourage people to clean up their act.

[Bystander]:
"Hopefully it will inspire people to not just drop there litter everywhere."

Over the next four months, the 5-foot tall bunnies will be popping up in at least two areas of central London.

If the pilot scheme is successful, the "Bunny Bins" could soon be reproducing on the streets of British cities.

Excellent Idea, we have to think of ideas that are appealing to children. They are the future, if we teach them young to keep our street clean and recycle then the world will be a better place for their children and so on. I love the Bunny :-)
