  • @ColeChannel This was a documentary on the first Shuttle flight.

  • @emenentia i didnt watch the whole thing are they talking about columbia or challenger

  • @ColeChannel You're serious?

  • @pflam1 what tragic accident are you talking about?

  • Hey everyone lets remember them as the heroes they were! It was a tragic accident and they will live forever in our memories! I remember to this day where I was and it was sad but we had to press fordward to do justice to their memories

  • @dcb1138 Incredible!!

  • I get chills watching this. When's the next time our great nation will gather around, waiting for brave men to challenge the skies?

  • @the14u36 with due respect, but you are fairly misinformed. Only STS-1 and STS-2, the first two flights, used a white External Tank. All other flights since STS-3 in March 1982 used unpainted red ET's until today (it's nearly 28 years, not 15).

Also, the white paint did not prevent foam loss. Quite the opposite: any additions like paint or nylon covering causes more and larger debris, as has been pointed out by investigations.

  • picked the worst one to make a documentary on :( R.I.P

  • tks for the upload
