In this lecture, Dr. Keith Hart provides an analysis of contemporary technological and social developments, and suggests that the stage of National Capitalism, which has prevailed since the mid-19th century, is now coming to an end. By developing unique categories to elucidate this transformation, Dr. Hart sheds light on the period now emerging from the ruins of national capitalism.

Dr. Keith Hart is emeritus professor of Anthropology at Goldsmiths College, University of London. This lecture was given in Classics 110 at the University of Chicago, May 1st, 2009. Sponsored by the Chicago Center for Contemporary Theory (3CT).
