  • They buy the item and sell it to Pawnstars.

  • These guys put in their time driving all over, paying for gas, hotels, wear and tear on the vehicle, warehouse, employee, advertising etc. Some old guy has some stuff sitting in his barn that would probably sit there til he dies. They buy it at a price they feel is fair but leaves them room to make money. But not always. They're not experts on everything and some time they get burned like Frank did on an old car. The sellers don't have to sell and often don't. No exploitation.
