'I Don't Like Mondays' - Ukulele Cover

I had the guitar transcription of this a while ago. Quick bit of fettling and it was in a good key for the uke.

But...

After having a go at the introductions to a few other songs ('Slow Marching Band' etc) I fancied a go at this one. So with A LOT of viewings of the piano intros here on YouTube I had a transcription...which was a bit tricky, it's gotta be said!
But practise later and a few takes on the ol' vid, and here we are.

An iconic song, with a different view on the ukulele!

Speaking of ukulele, have a good listen out for the intonation just before the finger picking. Look carefully....can you see what happens?! LOL!

The Uke in question is a Mahalo Les Paul with pickup. It's cheap and fairly cheerful. Aquilas on it (of course!) make it sound a bit better. But it is mainly eye candy, it's gotta be said!

Enjoyed this one. Glad to see you back, after a long wait. Kids and I have been checking. We are off to Lapland 4th December for 4 days (unpaid leave!!!) Didn't get national award by the way.... Irish lady did, very posh school!!

As I lay on the floor with arm down storm drain in playground the next day I asked Gary if the lady from Ireland would be cleaning her school drains out?????? Hope all are well and will let you know about Lapland for the boys.
