if people weren't too harsh mocking her about her weight she would never go to extreme trying to please everybody, she was a great singer and a big loss in entertainment industry and her music are timeless and would always be played over and over

You all can just stop. She is Karen Carpenter. There is a reason we have legends. Barbra Streisand, Helen Reddy, and Karen Carpenter. Her voice speaks for it's self.

It's actually "Syrup of ipecac."
She was also taking mega doses (incorrectly prescribed) of thyroid medicine which also did damage to her heart.
It's a complete tragedy.

Her voice sounds sped up here...the recording is too fast.
