That Drum fill at 2:54 is awesome. She holds the note out and goes all Keith Moon. You never hear anyone say Karen Carpenter is their fav drummer. Well I will say it right now. She is my fav drummer all time.( Sorry Ringo, Bonham, and Moon)

the carpenters are timeless. her voice and the story of the carpenters is addictive. we'll miss you!

Both were equal in talent. I was saddened that Friday in 1982 when she died. I hire musicians for my church. If they were still in business, I would hire them.

I disagree.. Richard was very good with the piano, arranging, producing, songwriting but he is musically talented and I consider a prodigy but Karen was just as equally talented. She was one of the most amazing vocalists in the world, was an excellent drummer, played the accordion and flute, also played the bass in only 2 tracks though. And the fact that she started singing and drumming only in her teens proves she's got tons of natural talent. She can sing well while drumming too.

karen had the voice of an angel !
