@grandpoohbah1 this song is writtne in iambic pentametere like a shakesperean sonnet, jim has a lot of talent a poet that is why it sticks in yourhead, and makes your skin crawl like poe's the raven.

That sound at 0:36 always frightened me as a kid. From what i saw on Ebay, "Wild Wood Weed" is on the other side of that single.

I had this on 8-track too. I always wondered if this song was somewhat a continuation of "Swamp Witch".
