Jharkhand, September 13 (ANI): Maoists blew up a railway track near Karmavad Railway Station in the Giridih District of Jharkhand on Monday. The blast, which occurred around 2.00 a.m., destroyed a metre-long track. The movements of more than 30 trains, including three Rajdhanis, were affected as a result of the blast that occurred during a 48-hour rebel shutdown, in protest against the killing of their leader cherukuri rajkumar alias Azad. The damaged tracks in Giridh, some 190 km from Ranchi, were later repaired and railway services resumed. Meanwhile, in yet another incident, police in the Dumka district of the state arrested six rebels, including a woman, after an encounter.
