Hey everybody,

If you know me, you know that I've been writing and producing music for about seven years now. Using popular programs such as Reason, ProTools, and Ableton Live.

I've decided that it is time to start giving back. I am going to start producing video tutorials that teach new producers some of the best tricks and shortcuts I've learned over the past 7 years.

Feel free send me an email to brianboylemusic@gmail.com with any suggestions for tutorials. Otherwise, I'll be starting from the very basics. I look forward to sharing what I know with all of you.

Brian

  • Extremely helpful, thanks a lot; helped me pass an audio recording class.

  • @ZxBxS Thats awesome man. Glad I could help!

  • Is it possible to listen to the track I've recorded on without taking it out of record mode? Thanks.

  • @starskystar You should turn off Phantom Power (48v) and the Mic if you are going to playback the track on studio Monitors. Otherwise, you can listen in headphones and there is no need to turn the mic/phantom power off.

  • Hey i need help, ok so im trying to record guitar and i pluged in my mic into the interface and im playing through my amp with the mic in front of it. And the tutorials on there tells me when i have everything pluged in, i should see the sound meter flicking and im ready to record. But nuthn happens, i dont see the meter flicking and i cant record an actual song because of that. What am i doing wrong??? PLZ help!

  • @MDOflims Make sure that the track you are recording on... i.e. audio 1 or whatever it is called. Make sure that the input of the track that you are recording on matches the input you have the mic plugged into in the back.

If both inputs match, then you also want to make sure that 48v phantom power is turned on.

Once you've done all that prime the track to record and you should see the sound meter react
