Danny Williams is still broadcasting from KTOK in OKC. Being from the local area, I got to meet him and gotta tell you...I was not impressed.
He was also the old miner Willy from Foreman Scotty show. I remember when he was hosting and when he told all the kids to wave goodbye, the screen went dark and you could hear him tell the kids something that got the station in trouble.
Classic local OKC TV.....this video is both funny and sad....Funny because of the microphones, hairistyles, and clothing from the 70s....however, its sad because this video proves that Crossroads Mall was one of the biggest attractions in the state. Now, you ask yourself, "how did this fine-looking mall become both run down and high in crime?
1) At one point, Crossraods Mall proves that at one point in time, it was a cool place and not a place you had to fear for your life when going. Now, it is a fragment of our minds.
2) At one point, local shows on local TV existed. You will never find a show like Dannysday again!
Crossroads mall was an amazing experience in the 70's. It was an awesome place to shop. And I loved the Grand Prix arcade with the Bumper Cars!!

This video proves 2 things:
1) At one point, Crossraods Mall proves that at one point in time, it was a cool place and not a place you had to fear for your life when going. Now, it is a fragment of our minds.
2) At one point, local shows on local TV existed. You will never find a show like Dannysday again!

I just think of poor Crossroads Mall now. In the 80's, it seemed like it was NASA meets the North Pole to a kid.
Now, it's a hodgepodge of junk stores resembling an indoor flea market. You've got to dodge gulls swooping around the parking lot just to get inside.
But, that's the southside for you.

Isn't it about time for channel 4 to change their call sign again?
