As a fellow ham & musician I was all set to rip into the posters here and then I sat back & thought about my experiences with Heil mics with my ham radio gear. Makes one's voice sound harsh as all get out, off-axis voice pickup is spotty, etc. Heil did some great work with the Talkbox 40+ years ago but hasn't really done anything all that good lately.
