Walkin' On The Fightin' Side Of Me

I know a lot of Conservative people who are getting tired of being disrespected by Liberals who seem to hate America the way it is and who are determined to destroy the things we value and have reverence for. I for one am tired of being called names for disagreeing with the policies our current president is trying to force us to accept. I'm tired of hearing Liberals talk bad about America and then trying to BLOCK those who oppose them from speaking at all! This song somewhat sums up how I feel.

you honestly have no clue how much I like this song. It's funny, this song was made for a time when my gradpa was fighting in Vietnam, yet it still applies today to me, as a Marine. I dont consider my self a dem or rep but an American. I knew what I was getting myself into when I joined, my grandpa didnt, he was drafted. I had a conversation with him the other week and I told him that sadly I believe that if they instituted another draft, more would dodge now then they did in the 60's.

I shot down my chance to play college football to become a Marine. I was willing to give up something very important to me for the love of my country. I'm proud knowing I get to wake up every morning to be with the men and women who were willing to do the same. Some call my patriotism ignorant. Just remember, we have something people spend a life time looking for that some will never have. I will not be ashamed of that. So go on and spew your hate. @veral4991 When I became a soldier I took an oath to defend, first of all, the Constitution of the United States. I was committed to that and very proud to serve, even though it meant sacrifice and risking my life. You obviously know nothing about commitment or sacrifice. It's easy for someone who cares only about self, and has no experience in life, to sit back and make silly comments on a website. You have no idea what our soldiers go through! It costs you nothing to make your silly comments!

I never served in an army, and never fought in a war. But I was married for 19 years. That`s damned close! She left--I`m happy now!
